It is imperative that you have a reliable form of transportation and are willing to work some evenings and weekends.

It is imperative that you have a reliable form of transportation and are willing to work some evenings and weekends.



Experienced Veterinary Client Services (or Receptionists): Will have experience with the tasks listed below as well as already have working knowledge of veterinary hospital procedures and protocols, terminology, medications, documentation, able to make appointments, assemble client medical records, and record test results. Experience with Cornerstone will be a plus.



Duties will include but are not limited to:



• Answering the telephone, screening the needs of the callers for appointments, reservations, medical needs, general pet health information, directions, and referring clients who need immediate treatment as well as complaints and client comments.



• Scheduling appointments and obtaining all pertinent client and patient information. Prepare all required forms, health, immunization and euthanasia certificates, and lab reports.



• Review client charts and check for accuracy and thoroughness of information. Make next appointment or note changes in patient or client status.



• Assure that owners meet all financial obligations or that acceptable arrangements have been made.



• Collect client fees, make changes as necessary and assist in making count of cash box. Verify eligibility of established clients who have balances on their account.



• Perform over-the-counter selling of speciality merchandise, grooming aids and services. Exercise a knowledge of products sold and demonstrate salesmanship abilities.



• Explain and demonstrate products, answer general questions concerning products, record sales slips.



• Educate clients on our website www.lyneanimalhospitals.com as well as the forms available on-line for their convenience: New Client form, Client Survey form, Client promotion forms, etc.



• Accurately fill veterinary prescriptions as prescribed.



• Update client files, prepare and mail thank you cards and welcome aboard cards. Follow-up with clients with clinic records indicate no recent visits and determine whether other veterinary facilities have been used or whether the client still owns the pet.



• Assist in cleaning in conjunction with the Exam Room Coordinators.



• Assure that Lobby and Reception area are clean, fresh smelling, and portray a professional atmosphere.
